Construction Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Construction Engineer to support the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program. The role involves planning, material management, quality and safety control, and technical inspection to ensure construction activities meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist construction supervision in planning methods, coordinate engineering issues, and monitor site activities for safety and compliance.
• Interpret design drawings, review vendor documents, and prepare as‑built drawings while ensuring contractor adherence.
• Review quantity takeoffs, material deliveries, and schedule projections; report discrepancies and manage change notices.
• Participate in daily/weekly coordination meetings, compile progress reports, and support stakeholder management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience delivering large‑scale civil infrastructure mechanical installations (pump stations, HVAC, pressurized systems) in the GCC, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively in English.
