Contract Advisor – Procurement & Financial Analysis

About the role

The Contract Advisor acts as the primary representative of the contract proponent, supporting the development, negotiation, and administration of contracts across various business units. This role blends financial analysis, procurement expertise, and contract management to ensure feasible and cost‑effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the contract proponent in contract development, administration, and negotiations.
• Assist in financial feasibility studies and evaluate technical, financial, and procedural alternatives.
• Prepare scope of work documents, status reports, and presentations for executive management.
• Participate in bid review teams, develop realistic company positions, and draft negotiation offers and counter‑offers.
• Collaborate with estimating functions to produce accurate cost estimates and verify contractor cost changes.
• Negotiate with contractors as part of a multidisciplinary team and represent the proponent in claim review panels.
• Provide financial and technical advice on contract wording, scope, and cost‑benefit implications.
• Identify and address shortcomings in contract administration through periodic field examinations.
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to contract management as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or contracting.
• Degree in engineering, business/public administration, political science, law, finance, supply chain management, or MIS.
