Contract Advisor – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Contract Advisor provides professional contractual and commercial support throughout the entire contract lifecycle for a petroleum/energy organization in Saudi Arabia. Acting as the primary representative for contract proponents, the advisor ensures contracts are developed, executed, administered and closed out in line with corporate policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert contractual and commercial advice from requirement definition to contract close‑out.
• Develop contract scopes, commercial terms and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate internal review, approval and execution of contracts and amendments.
• Monitor contractor performance, compliance, deliverables, milestones and obligations.
• Manage contract amendments, extensions, renewals, terminations and related actions.
• Evaluate bids, pricing structures and contractual terms, offering recommendations.
• Participate in bid evaluations, qualification, negotiations and preparation of counter‑offers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in petroleum, oil & gas or energy, with at least 3 years in progressive contracting, commercial analysis or procurement roles.
• Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management, including lump‑sum, unit‑price and time‑and‑materials contracts.
• Proven ability to manage contract performance, claims and change control.
