Control Room Operator – Power & Water Plant

About the role

The Control Room Operator (CCR Operator) is responsible for monitoring and controlling the power and water units from the plant’s control room. The role ensures steady‑state operation, meets production targets and complies with ACWA NOMAC’s work instructions, quality standards and HSSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the assigned unit/plant from the control panel, adjust operating conditions and product flows, and take immediate corrective action during abnormalities.
• Maintain continuous radio contact with field operators, relay current operating conditions and initiate required actions.
• Update control‑room registers and logs, and execute proper shift handovers.
• Follow shift supervisor/engineer work instructions, monitor system abnormalities and apply SOPs to normalize equipment.
• Perform initial diagnostic checks, correct faults when possible, or raise work requests for further repair.
• Coordinate Lock‑Out & Tag‑Out procedures during equipment isolation and restore equipment after permit cancellation.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to junior team members.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma holder in Engineering.
