About the role

The Coordinator I, Permit to Work Mechanical Isolator is responsible for managing the Permit to Work (PTW) process for mechanical isolation activities, ensuring safe execution of high‑risk work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and process systems at International Maritime Industries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate PTW activation, suspension and closure for all mechanically related work in line with the PTW Procedure.
• Verify mechanical isolation certificates, isolation lists, spading/blinding records and LOTO tags before permit activation.
• Liaise with Mechanical Isolation Authorities to confirm safe isolation and de‑isolation and proper documentation.
• Monitor SIMOPS involving mechanical systems, identify conflicts and ensure correct use of LOTO devices such as blinds, spades, valve locks and tags.
• Maintain accurate tracking of mechanical isolations, long‑term isolations and associated certificates within the PTW Control Room.
• Conduct routine field checks to confirm that isolation points, tags and PTW postings match approved documentation.
• Communicate with Performing and Issuing Authorities, place permits on hold when controls are not met and escalate unresolved issues.
• Participate in daily PTW coordination meetings and provide status updates on mechanical isolation.

Required profile

• Minimum 108 months (9 years) of experience in mechanical isolation, PTW coordination or related HSE roles.
• Familiarity with LOTO and PTW procedures in a maritime or industrial environment.
• Ability to work both in the PTW Control Room and on‑site field duties.
