Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join our project team in Riyadh. The professional will oversee the financial performance of construction projects, ensuring that expenditures stay within approved budgets and providing timely cost information to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track actual expenditures against approved budgets and prepare regular cost, forecast and cash‑flow reports.
• Analyse cost variances, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data.
• Maintain and update cost control systems and ERP data for material, labour, equipment and subcontractor items.
• Identify potential cost risks and support cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience in cost control or cost engineering within the construction industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams.
