Cost Controller – Oil & Gas Shutdown Projects

About the role
The Cost Controller will oversee budgeting, cost monitoring and financial reporting for high‑pressure shutdown and turnaround projects within the oil & gas sector in Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS) covering scope, labour, materials and equipment.
- Capture and track actual costs, including material consumption, manpower and subcontractor work.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage change orders, subcontractor claims and ensure approvals within the commercial framework.
- Prepare regular cost control reports, cash‑flow forecasts and final closing reports with lessons learned.
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices and payment certificates for accuracy.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Finance (BE/B.Tech or Diploma).
- 5‑8 years of experience in costing, budgeting and cost monitoring for shutdown/turnaround projects.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
