Cost Estimator

About the role

Parsons Corporation is looking for a meticulous and analytical Cost Estimator to join its team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. You will develop comprehensive, defensible cost estimates from early conceptual design through detailed construction documentation for large‑scale infrastructure and master‑planned developments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all project phases (conceptual to final construction documents).
• Perform precise material quantity takeoffs from 2D drawings and 3D BIM (5D BIM) models.
• Maintain up‑to‑date market data on labor, material, equipment, and supply‑chain conditions in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Review contractor bids, variations, and commercial proposals; conduct variance analyses.
• Support risk management by performing quantitative cost‑risk analysis and setting contingency allowances.
• Capture final project cost metrics to enrich internal benchmarking databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in construction cost estimation.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure, utilities, or heavy civil projects valued in the hundreds of millions.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian or Middle‑East supply‑chain and regulatory environments is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as CostX, Candy, and Blue… (e.g., Bluebeam).
• Experience using 5D BIM models for quantity takeoffs.
• Strong market analysis and cost‑risk assessment capabilities.
