Cybersecurity and Compliance Executive (6-Month Maternity Cover)

About the role

Tahaluf, a joint venture between Informa PLC, SAFCSP and the Events Investment Fund, is looking for a Cybersecurity and Compliance Executive in Riyadh to cover maternity leave for 6 months, ideally starting at the end of October. The role translates KSA-specific regulations (NCA, SAMA, PDPL) into actionable policies, works with tech teams to embed security controls, and ensures every event and system launch meets high standards of data protection, risk management and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• PDPL data-privacy readiness, coordinating with Legal for approvals and maintaining documentation for PDPL, SAMA CSF and NCA checklists
• Manage compliance with SAMA Cybersecurity Framework, NCA controls and CITC guidelines, and prepare security reports for the NCA
• Maintain audit trails and evidence packs for internal and external audits
• Run scheduled vulnerability assessments across web, mobile and API platforms and track remediation with platform owners, developers and ops teams
• Oversee SIEM monitoring, triage alerts and threat intelligence feeds
• Develop, test and run Incident Response Plans and tabletop exercises, and coordinate breach investigations and post-incident reports
• Advise on secure network, cloud (AWS/Azure) and identity architectures, and specify and tune firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR and vulnerability scanners
• Create and update policies and standard operating procedures, and liaise with vendors on maintenance windows and reporting
• Deliver security awareness and phishing-simulation training, and produce monthly dashboards on security posture, compliance and incidents

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 2 years working closely within the Saudi regulatory environment
• Deep knowledge of SAMA CSF, NCA controls, PDPL and KSA data-privacy laws
• Project coordination skills, comfort with a fast-paced environment, and good communication with cross-functional teams
• Plus: familiarity with project management tools, event tech platforms, and experience in the events or media industry
