Data Analyst - Operational Excellence & Compliance (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support the Operational Excellence & Compliance division in the oil & gas sector. The role will use data‑driven insights to improve safety performance, quality and environmental outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a data management strategy aligned with safety goals.
• Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight safety performance trends.
• Create data collection, storage and analysis solutions for safety‑related metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Establish data quality control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Work with IT to define system requirements, participate in design, testing and user training for new software.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory reporting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience, preferably in oil & gas safety.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis, data analysis and reporting techniques.
• Proven experience with data management, collection, storage and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior analysts is a plus.
