Data Analytics Officer

About the role

The Data Analytics Officer will design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support clinical, operational, financial, quality and population health initiatives within a hospital environment. The role works closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable analytical solutions while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various hospital functions.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and deliver insights that drive decision‑making.
• Extract, transform and model data using SQL, Power Query (M) and DAX from multiple hospital systems.
• Validate data accuracy, reconcile sources and document data definitions and reporting methodologies.
• Identify trends, performance gaps and provide proactive recommendations to leadership.
• Create user‑friendly visualisations with navigation, filtering and drill‑through capabilities.
• Produce KPI reports, ad‑hoc analyses and data‑driven recommendations aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to resolve data quality issues and maintain consistent data definitions.
• Handle service‑desk tickets related to dashboards, reports and analytics access, providing timely support.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee and organizational data in compliance with relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Health Informatics or equivalent.
• 0‑4 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong command of English and Arabic.
• Healthcare‑related background (clinical, public health, health administration or health informatics) is an advantage.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modelling)
