Data Engineer – Healthcare AI Solutions

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Innovaccer, you will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms that power AI-driven healthcare solutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will enable data-driven decision-making for health systems, payers and providers, contributing to better patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform and deliver healthcare data from multiple source systems.
• Build and optimise scalable data models in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift or Azure Synapse.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers and clinical informatics teams to translate data needs into reliable solutions.
• Implement testing frameworks, validation checks and monitoring alerts to ensure data quality, integrity and governance.
• Integrate clinical and claims data using healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
• Support infrastructure-as-code practices and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of data workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and cross-functional sprint planning.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling, warehousing and pipeline architecture.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD-10 and SNOMED CT.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and their managed data services.
• Ability to write clean, efficient and well-documented code in Python and SQL.
• Proven experience (3-6 years) delivering end-to-end data pipeline projects.
• Experience troubleshooting complex data issues and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
