Data Management Office Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced leader to head the Data Management Office of a Saudi Arabian government entity. The Director will shape the data strategy, governance framework and operating model to ensure high‑quality, compliant and well‑leveraged data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s Data Strategy and Data Management Office roadmap aligned with national regulations.
• Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
• Lead initiatives on data quality, classification, protection, metadata management and lifecycle management.
• Define data ownership, stewardship and accountability models across business functions.
• Monitor KPIs, data maturity indicators, compliance metrics and data‑quality performance.
• Promote a data‑driven culture and increase awareness of governance practices.
• Build, lead and develop the Data Management Office team to deliver strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, IT or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Extensive experience in data governance, data management or data quality, including leadership or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi national data regulations and protection requirements.
• Proven ability to lead strategic data initiatives and engage senior stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
