Database Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. The role involves managing database administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, migrations, security, and operational support across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB servers.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and security, and implement optimization solutions.
• Automate routine DBA tasks and document all changes.
• Support application teams with query tuning and schema optimization.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, after‑hours release deployments, and database patching for MSSQL and Oracle.
• Manage Active‑Passive clusters, Always On Availability Groups, and replication.
• Conduct disaster‑recovery testing, production switchovers, and manage backup/recovery using SQL Native, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Handle database migrations, version upgrades, and maintain compliance audits and documentation.

Required skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022 and Oracle 19c.
• Proficiency in database patching, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of RMAN, Data Pump, backup and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts.
