Database Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Database Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems that support critical business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of database technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure high availability, performance, and security of database environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the performance, integrity, and security of all database systems, including backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Design and implement new database structures and optimise existing ones to improve performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure seamless database integration and alignment with business requirements.
• Enforce database security policies, conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with regulations such as SAMA and AML/CTF.
• Monitor database performance proactively, analyse system logs and metrics, and apply tuning strategies to resolve bottlenecks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of database administrators and developers.
• Work closely with IT operations, application teams, and business stakeholders to guarantee uninterrupted database operations.

Required profile

• Saudi nationality.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; advanced certifications (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) are a plus.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in database management, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale database environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
