Demand Planning Specialist

About the role

The Demand Planning Specialist will own demand forecasting across multiple product categories in an industrial setting. You will work closely with sales, business development and operations to align forecasts with business plans, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing stockouts or excess stock.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for all product categories.
• Collaborate with sales, business development and operations to align forecasts with strategic plans.
• Monitor demand trends, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively adjust forecasts.
• Balance demand and supply to achieve optimal inventory levels.
• Utilize forecasting tools and planning systems to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare and present reports and insights to management for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably in an industrial or multi‑product environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Data analysis techniques and tools.
• Experience with ERP or dedicated planning systems.
• Proficiency with forecasting and planning software.
