Dental Assistant (General & Specialist) – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Dental Assistant provides comprehensive chair‑side support to general and specialist dentists during a wide range of clinical and surgical procedures. Working in a fast‑paced dental environment, the assistant ensures patient comfort, maintains instrument sterility, and assists the dentist in delivering high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dismiss patients, manage instrument cleaning and equipment disinfection.
• Assist the dentist by retracting tissues, irrigating, aspirating, and performing four‑handed dentistry.
• Provide post‑operative instructions and maintain accurate patient records.
• Review and flag patients’ medical histories, update charts, and order supplies.
• Perform expanded‑duty procedures under dentist supervision.
• Respond to medical emergencies using First Aid and CPR until further help arrives.
• Support the dental surgical team and perform miscellaneous duties as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Dental Assisting or related field.
• 2‑5 years of clinical experience in a dental setting.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Proficiency with office software and health information systems.
