Design Engineer – Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the engineering of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers in compliance with ASME, API, and TEMA standards. The role involves close interaction with QA/QC, procurement, and fabrication teams to deliver complete project engineering packages.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer pressure equipment per ASME Section VIII, API 650/620/660/661, and TEMA standards.
• Perform mechanical calculations using PV Elite, COMPRESS, or equivalent tools.
• Prepare nozzle loadings, supports, weld designs, and assembly drawings.
• Manage and review outsourced design deliverables and support bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection, material compliance, and NDE requirements.
• Provide fabrication support, resolve shop‑floor queries, and integrate all design documents into final deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5‑10 years of experience designing pressure vessels, storage tanks, or heat exchangers in EPC, fabrication, or oil & gas environments.
• Prior experience on Saudi Aramco or similar major oil & gas projects is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and outsourced inputs against project schedules.

Required skills

• ASME Section VIII (Div. 1 & 2), Section II & IX.
• API 650/620/660/661 standards.
• TEMA standards.
• PV Elite, COMPRESS or equivalent pressure‑vessel design software.
• AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling software for drawing review.
• Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES/SAEP series) and material specifications.
• Welding joint design, NDE/inspection requirements for pressure equipment.
