Design Engineer – Transformer Design (Dammam, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

As a Design Engineer at Siemens Energy in Dammam, you will focus on the design of power transformers, ensuring that both primary and secondary specifications meet customer requirements and industry standards. You will work within a collaborative team that drives innovation in sustainable energy technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform power transformer external and main layout design activities.
• Participate in design reviews, project kick‑off and technical clarification meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to production teams and resolve design‑related queries during manufacturing.
• Address customer technical inquiries regarding transformer specifications.
• Support procurement by clarifying technical requirements for component suppliers.
• Assist service teams with technical issues during installation, operation and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Power Systems, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in transformer final‑assembly and main layout design (preferred).
• Familiarity with control and protection system design (advantageous).
• Good English reading and writing skills; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Willingness to be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
