Digital Assets Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and execution of a virtual assets and digital innovation agenda within a leading financial institution. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating and delivering opportunities across tokenization, blockchain‑enabled financial services, digital money and emerging payment technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the organization’s roadmap for virtual assets and blockchain‑related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities across tokenized assets, tokenized deposits, digital payments and distributed ledger technologies.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of innovation initiatives, from concept and feasibility through pilot execution and scaling recommendations.
• Partner with external technology providers, fintech firms and strategic partners to evaluate and implement new solutions.
• Engage with regulatory stakeholders and ensure compliance and governance alignment.
• Coordinate internal approval processes, risk reviews and governance activities for new use cases.
• Translate complex blockchain and digital asset concepts into practical use cases delivering business value.
• Monitor developments in digital assets, CBDCs, tokenization and emerging payment ecosystems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in banking, financial services, fintech, payments, blockchain or digital assets.
• Proven track record delivering complex technology or innovation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of banking infrastructure, payments, settlement models and regulatory environments.
• Ability to work with architecture and engineering teams while communicating effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership capabilities.
