Director IT Contract & Budget Management

About the role

The Director IT Contract & Budget Management leads the alignment of IT strategic project budgets with corporate financial planning. This senior position ensures accurate budgeting, vendor oversight, and compliance with financial controls across all IT initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate IT budget planning, integrating OPEX and CAPEX for development, transformation, BAU, and special projects.
• Gather data, analyse budget utilization, and submit timely budget reports to senior management.
• Serve as the primary IT contact for vendor management, overseeing selection, contracts, and performance monitoring.
• Review and optimise RFIs/RFPs to ensure alignment with standards and budget guidelines.
• Participate in RFP/RFW committees, ensuring funding approvals adhere to IT budget limits.
• Implement financial checks and controls for all IT transactions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Budgeting departments to enforce policy compliance.
• Maintain vendor relationships, monitor order status, and manage invoice/payment processes with Finance.
• Address audit issues related to vendors and ensure prompt corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in budget control, vendor relationship management, and contract administration within a technology environment.
• Background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
