Director of Health, Safety & Sustainability

About the role

The Director of Health, Safety & Sustainability will lead the development, implementation and oversight of HSS programs across the supply chain function. This senior position ensures regulatory compliance, fosters a safety‑first culture and drives sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate and environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the annual business plan and strategic agenda for the Health, Safety & Sustainability department.
• Translate strategy into operational plans for facility management and monitor execution.
• Lead and develop the HSS team, setting priorities, managing performance and providing coaching.
• Prepare and manage the department budget, tracking financial performance against targets.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Design and deliver health and safety training programs and conduct regular audits.
• Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, manage emissions and improve resource efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and submit required reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience directing health, safety and sustainability functions within a supply chain or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets and align initiatives with corporate strategy.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in HSS.
