Director of Marketing and Communications

About the role

The Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation is seeking a senior leader to shape the national and international perception of cricket in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Marketing and Communications will own the brand, communications, and fan‑engagement strategy during a critical growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive national marketing and communications strategy aligned with the Federation’s growth objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for the four Marcom sections – Marketing, PR, Media, and Events – ensuring consistency across all outputs.
• Lead brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction across all platforms and public‑facing activities.
• Oversee media relations, press strategy, spokesperson coordination, and crisis communication.
• Build and manage digital and social media programmes to increase fan engagement and visibility.
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns and live‑event activations for national team matches, domestic tournaments, and grassroots programmes.
• Manage relationships with sponsors, broadcast partners, and agencies, activating sponsorship rights.
• Collaborate with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and regional cricket bodies on joint initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of experience in marketing, communications or related fields, preferably within sports or entertainment.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong track record of developing and implementing successful brand and fan‑engagement strategies.
• Experience managing media relations, crisis communication and large‑scale event marketing.
