About the role

The Director of Marketing & Communications leads the Marcom strategy for the hotel, partnering with the Director of Sales & Marketing to set long‑range objectives and drive brand visibility. This senior leader inspires the team, ensures alignment with the Capella brand values, and creates memorable experiences for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the integrated marketing communications plan for the property.
• Provide inspirational leadership, set clear expectations, and recognize performance.
• Oversee daily department operations, ensuring compliance with service standards and policies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across e‑commerce, graphic, digital, media, and PR functions.
• Develop and maintain editorial calendars, content libraries, and social media distribution across platforms.
• Monitor online conversations, engage communities, and optimize tagging for maximum reach.
• Analyze listening and analytics data, produce reports, and guide outreach activities.
• Collaborate with corporate e‑commerce, strategic alliances, and sales teams to identify marketing opportunities.
