Director of People and Capabilities

About the role

The Director of People and Capabilities will join the senior leadership team of Jayasom Wellness Resort, translating the resort’s strategy into actionable people, experience and capability (PEC) programs. This role ensures the right structures, policies and procedures are in place to support a purpose‑driven, wellness‑focused hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the People & Capabilities department and design a PEC framework aligned with the resort’s mission.
• Develop and oversee internal communication programs that foster collaboration, idea sharing and respect across all levels.
• Ensure every team member understands their role, responsibilities and organizational expectations.
• Maintain effective relationships with owners, corporate offices, vendors and external partners.
• Promote an inclusive, caring and collaborative work culture that reflects the resort’s wellness and sustainability values.
• Support department heads with the resources and guidance needed to achieve their objectives.
• Participate in meetings, committees, trainings and community activities to reinforce the resort’s culture.
• Drive initiatives that help exceed the resort’s business targets.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience leading HR or People Operations functions, preferably in hospitality or wellness environments.
• Proven ability to build and sustain positive professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong champion of wellness, sustainability and inclusive workplace cultures.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
