Director of People & Capabilities

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of People & Capabilities to lead the HR function at Jayasom, a premier resort in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and execute the people strategy, fostering a culture of wellness, sustainability and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all HR domains including talent acquisition, learning & development, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, performance management, succession and workforce planning.
• Design, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with Saudi labour law and corporate standards.
• Lead the pre‑opening HR critical path, driving recruitment, onboarding and workforce readiness for new operations.
• Partner with department heads on employee relations, coaching, performance reviews and organisational development initiatives.
• Manage the HR budget, HRIS, annual people plans and corporate reporting.
• Develop relationships with educational institutions and industry partners to secure talent pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to local legislation, shared services and outsourced provider standards.

Required profile

• BSc/BA in Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline (preferred).
• Proven senior HR leadership experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably with pre‑opening exposure.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi labour law, talent management and strategic HR practices.
• Strong leadership, communication and business partnering abilities.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• High ethical standards, adaptability and a trustworthy demeanor.
