Director – Transaction Accounting

About the role

The Director – Transaction Accounting leads SEVEN’s transactional accounting function, overseeing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable/Revenue across entertainment complexes, cinemas and corporate operations. The role ensures accurate, timely processing of payable and revenue transactions, drives revenue assurance, manages vendor relationships and delivers operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Transaction Accounting objectives and scorecards aligned with Finance goals, covering AP throughput, AR collection performance, revenue reconciliation accuracy and operational SLAs.
• Represent SEVEN in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with external standards and SEVEN policies.
• Create and monitor Transaction Accounting policies and procedures for AP processing, payment authorization, revenue recognition, ZATCA compliance and AR collections.
• Manage performance of the AP and AR teams, implementing HR‑aligned performance management processes.
• Direct all AP activities with outsource partners, including advance payments, prepaid expenses, petty cash, corporate credit cards, invoice aging and variance analysis.
• Direct all AR activities, ensuring accurate documentation, adherence to revenue policies, billing, cash collection oversight and management of commercial promotions, discounts and commissions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AP and AR functions in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting policies, revenue recognition and regulatory compliance (e.g., ZATCA).
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, including audit and finance groups.
• Experience developing and enforcing finance policies and operational SLAs.
• Leadership skills to drive performance management and continuous improvement within finance teams.
