Electrical Engineer – Aviation

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the planning, design coordination, and delivery of electrical infrastructure for airport and airfield projects. You will ensure that all electrical systems meet aviation standards and contribute to safe, reliable airport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering activities across airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to guarantee proper design and installation of electrical systems.
• Monitor progress of electrical works and provide technical support during construction.
• Review and coordinate systems such as Airfield Ground Lighting, runway and taxiway lighting, approach lighting, power distribution (MV/LV), backup power (generators, UPS), substations, transformers, terminal lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and navigational‑aid electrical systems.
• Verify compliance with ICAO, FAA/EASA, IATA, IEC/IEEE standards and local regulations.
• Participate in inspections, site audits, testing, commissioning, energisation, and operational readiness activities.
• Prepare documentation for handover and liaise with airport operators, aviation authorities, design consultants, and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably on airport or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with airfield lighting systems and power distribution design.
• Strong background in construction supervision and stakeholder coordination.
