Electrical Engineer – Design & Automation Systems

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will design, implement, test and maintain electrical, fire & security, and automation systems for new projects, upgrades and expansions. The role ensures system performance, reliability and compliance with standards while supporting installation, commissioning and ongoing improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical, fire alarm, fire suppression, access control, intrusion detection and automation systems.
• Produce detailed drawings, schematics, specifications and documentation for installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with project management, operations, commissioning and facility teams to integrate all systems.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose faults and provide technical troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, engineering standards, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following quality, health and environmental procedures.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering, fire protection, security and automation technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably with fire protection, security or automation systems.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced environment.

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Building automation systems and industrial communication networks.
• Electrical distribution and control systems.
• Electrical engineering calculations – load calculations, voltage drop analysis, equipment sizing.
