Electrical Technician – Fabrication Workshop

About the role

The Electrical Technician will ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems in the fabrication workshop, including CNC machines, heat‑treatment furnaces, welding equipment and heavy machinery. The role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and works closely with planning, production, quality and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on workshop electrical systems, panels, MCCs, transformers and power distribution networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in CNC machines (VTL, HBM), drives, motors, encoders, sensors, limit switches and control circuits.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate temperature control systems, thermocouples and heating elements of heat‑treatment furnaces.
• Execute wiring, cable routing, grounding and installation of new electrical components, ensuring compliance with LOTO procedures.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective or preventive actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical course in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in heavy fabrication, steel or manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machines and heat‑treatment furnace electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, able to work under pressure.
• High safety awareness and ability to follow LOTO and PPE requirements.
