Energy System Project Manager

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY LTD is looking for an Energy System Project Manager in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role leads the execution of energy system projects, making sure all activities follow company policies, contracts, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments, while supporting continuous improvement of project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project activities, set the execution approach and oversee hand-over, planning, monitoring and control for internal and external resources
• Monitor project progress and resource use, and control project finances, invoicing, costs, expenses and cash flow
• Identify, qualify and manage project risks and opportunities
• Drive formal project acceptance, ensure contract close-out and customer acknowledgement
• Procure services, materials and equipment from suppliers, supporting negotiations, claims and project changes
• Build relationships with stakeholders and act as the main customer contact and escalation point
• Manage projects and processes independently, with possible coaching and review of lower-level staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of project execution experience; electrical equipment/substation projects (capacitor banks and power quality) preferred
• PMP or IPMA is a plus
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Collaborative, solution-oriented, strong communication skills and proactive leadership
