Engineer, Site Construction - Civil & Structural

About the role

The Engineer, Site Construction – Civil & Structural represents ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Jubail on‑site and ensures that all civil and structural works performed by the EPC contractor meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor EPC contractor’s civil and structural activities for compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, codes and contract terms.
• Maintain continuous site presence to control execution quality, sequencing, workmanship and structural stability of foundations, concrete and steel works.
• Verify setting‑out, levels, alignment, dimensions, tolerances and monitor earthworks, piling, underground works, back‑filling and compaction.
• Oversee formwork, reinforcement, concreting, curing, grouting, finishing and structural erection.
• Review work plans, schedules, manpower and equipment deployment; identify delays and support mitigation actions.
• Implement civil & structural QA/QC systems, conduct inspections, material testing and close NCRs and punch items.
• Ensure strict HSE compliance during excavation, lifting, work at height and structural erection.
• Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation teams and external authorities; provide accurate site reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of experience in industrial civil and structural construction projects.
• Previous experience in a client, owner or PMC site‑supervision role overseeing EPC contractors.
• Experience with foundations, concrete structures, structural steel and industrial buildings, preferably in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
