Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will lead the daily operations of the engineering team at FAENA The Red Sea, ensuring that all hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role combines hands‑on technical oversight with coordination of preventive maintenance and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the engineering team, assigning tasks and monitoring completion.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back‑of‑house spaces, plant rooms, equipment and overall hotel facilities.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs according to established schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, operational issues and emergency situations.
• Troubleshoot technical problems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, hotel standards and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and equipment servicing.
• Monitor tools, spare parts and supplies, reporting replenishment needs.
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers, overseeing quality of work.
• Support energy‑conservation and sustainability initiatives within the department.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized workshops, plant rooms and engineering areas.
• Communicate maintenance priorities with other hotel departments.
• Assist in training and development of engineering staff and support departmental projects and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising an engineering or facilities team in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with safety procedures, hotel standards and relevant regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage emergencies and maintain detailed documentation.
