Enterprise Computing & Cloud Architect

About the role

The Enterprise Computing & Cloud Architect defines and governs the enterprise architecture for computing and infrastructure platforms across on-premises environments, private cloud, public cloud, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure. The position is based on site in Dammam.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the enterprise architecture for computing platforms across on-premises, private cloud, public cloud, HPC and AI environments.
• Define target architectures, reference architectures, technology standards, principles and design patterns.
• Develop and maintain strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and emerging trends.
• Provide architecture leadership and assurance for major programs, transformation initiatives and complex solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, containerization, HPC and AI technologies.
• Establish architectural principles covering scalability, availability, performance, security, resilience, interoperability and cost optimization.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical governance throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Assess current-state environments and define transition architectures and migration strategies.
• Define cloud adoption, hybrid cloud, workload placement and infrastructure modernization strategies.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, data, applications, networking and operations teams, and guide HPC and AI platform architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology, infrastructure, cloud or enterprise architecture, with significant experience in large-scale environments.
• Demonstrated experience designing and governing complex computing and infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with HPC and/or AI infrastructure architecture is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, virtualization, containers, compute platforms, storage, networking and infrastructure automation.
• Experience developing architecture standards, reference architectures, roadmaps and governance frameworks.
• Proven architectural assurance for major programs and complex implementations.
• Preferred certifications: TOGAF, AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud architecture, and specialist certifications in VMware, Kubernetes, HPC or AI.
