Environment and Sustainability Project Manager

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition consultancy, is recruiting an Environment and Sustainability Project Manager for its client's team in Saudi Arabia. The role oversees the planning, execution and management of environmental sustainability projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and advancing the organisation's sustainability goals. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead environmental and sustainability projects from conception to completion, within budget, timeline and quality standards.
• Develop project plans covering objectives, scope, timelines, resources and budget.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align projects with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
• Act as lead author for EIA reports, environmental management plans and environmental audit reports.
• Carry out risk assessments and mitigation strategies for potential environmental impacts.
• Manage EIA projects, coordinating inputs from subject matter experts, field survey personnel and sub-consultants.
• Prepare proposals and variation orders for EIA, environmental surveys and environmental monitoring programmes.
• Monitor progress and report regularly to stakeholders on status and performance metrics.
• Run workshops and presentations on sustainability best practices and stay up to date on environmental policies and trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field; a Master's is preferred.
• 8-10 years of project management experience in the environmental or sustainability sectors.
• Experience with environmental compliance, sustainability reporting and project management methodologies.
• Leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work in cross-cultural environments and manage projects in Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management tools and sustainability metrics/reporting software.
• Certifications such as PMP or LEED are a plus; professional membership with bodies such as IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM or IES is also advantageous.
