ER General Physician – Clinical Role

About the role

The Emergency Room (ER) General Physician provides primary medical care to patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the physician conducts assessments, prescribes treatment, and guides patients on preventive health measures, including diet and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document findings, and develop individualized care plans.
• Take comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; review results promptly.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and advise on their proper use.
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and required investigations.
• Provide vaccination services when applicable.
• Refer complex cases to specialty clinics as needed.
• Conduct video consultations for remote patient follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from a recognized university.
• Valid SCHS medical license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using Health Information Systems for patient records and reporting.
