Estimation Engineer

About the role

HEMAMCO is looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to support Saudi Aramco‑approved and other high‑profile projects. The role focuses on preparing technically sound, commercially competitive estimates and assisting tender and proposal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, ITBs, scopes, specifications, drawings and commercial requirements.
• Identify tender deliverables, risks, exclusions and required clarifications.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), Material Take‑Offs (MTOs) and cost breakdown structures.
• Develop estimates for materials, labour, equipment, subcontracting, indirect costs and project overheads.
• Issue RFQs to vendors/subcontractors, evaluate quotations and normalize pricing.
• Create unit rates, productivity assumptions and support commercial proposal preparation.
• Maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking information.
• Participate in tender reviews, bid/no‑bid decisions and post‑award handover of estimate assumptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating/tendering experience, preferably in industrial/EPC/construction.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi market and major local clients (e.g., Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC) is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams and commitment to safety, quality, cost and schedule.
