Executive Chef

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead all kitchen and stewarding operations at our Kempinski hotel in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality food, maintaining hygiene standards, and driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all Food Production and Stewarding functions to maximise departmental profit.
• Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to plan successful F&B activities across the hotel and abroad.
• Maintain up‑to‑date hotel policies, procedures and staff records.
• Work with People Services to ensure productive performance, plan staffing needs and conduct training programmes.
• Conduct probation reviews, formal appraisals and provide coaching, counselling and discipline.
• Participate in the hotel’s revenue planning and marketing programmes.
• Determine minimum and maximum stock levels with the Finance Director and manage the department’s budget.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies, HACCP and all safety legislation.
• Log security incidents and accidents as required and take corrective action for hazardous situations.

Required profile

• Proven senior kitchen leadership experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong ability to manage large teams, conduct training and performance appraisals.
• Excellent organisational skills to plan staffing, budgets and stock control.
• Solid understanding of OH&S, HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work closely with finance, marketing and operations departments.
