Executive Director – Business Partnerships

About the role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead Business Partnerships for a newly established organisation in Saudi Arabia. This senior role will shape the commercial future of the entity by building strategic alliances across shipping, ports, logistics and economic zones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business partnerships and commercial growth strategy.
• Identify, secure and manage high‑value partnerships in shipping, ports, logistics, industrial and economic zones.
• Create new revenue streams and business lines aligned with long‑term organisational objectives.
• Lead business development, investment attraction and commercial negotiations with public and private sector partners.
• Build relationships with global port operators, shipping lines, logistics providers, developers and investors.
• Support the preparation of investment cases, commercial models and joint‑venture opportunities.
• Represent the organisation with senior government stakeholders and international partners.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships or commercial leadership within ports, shipping, maritime or logistics sectors.
• Proven track record of launching new commercial ventures or establishing new operating models.
• Extensive network across maritime, ports, logistics and industrial development.
• Experience attracting investment, negotiating complex commercial agreements and forming strategic partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
