Executive Director – National Air Connectivity Program

About the role

The Executive Director of the National Air Connectivity Program will lead the strategic vision and execution of initiatives that improve air service accessibility across the nation. This senior leadership position requires a proven track record in managing large‑scale transportation projects, preferably within aviation, and the ability to collaborate with government, industry, and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with national transportation goals and policy frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver key projects while respecting budgetary and operational constraints.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with airlines, airports, local governments, and community organizations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local aviation regulations and engage policymakers to influence favorable outcomes.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on program performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic leadership roles within aviation, transportation, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs that enhance air connectivity and user access.
• Deep knowledge of aviation regulations and experience influencing legislative change.
• Strong financial management expertise, including budget development and sustainable funding models.
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of cultivating partnerships.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in complex organizational environments.
