Expert Solution Architect

About the role

We are looking for an Expert Solution Architect to design end‑to‑end technology solutions that translate business requirements into scalable, secure and resilient architectures. The role will focus on payment‑critical systems and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design comprehensive solution architectures for complex business and technology initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into application, integration, data, infrastructure and security components.
• Define solution interfaces, technology patterns and integration approaches, including payment flows across schemes, partners and core systems.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, SAMA regulatory, data residency and audit requirements.
• Evaluate build‑versus‑buy options, assess vendor solutions and conduct architecture risk assessments.
• Design for high availability, resilience and disaster recovery in payment‑critical environments.
• Review technical designs, guide engineering squads and present solutions in governance forums.
• Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams and technical decision records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, with end‑to‑end ownership.
• Hands‑on senior engineering background before moving into architecture.
• Experience in payments or banking, knowledge of card schemes, ISO 8583/20022 and national payment rails.
• Professional architecture certification (TOGAF or equivalent) preferred.
