Facility Operator – Building Systems & Maintenance

About the role

The Facility Operator is responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of building systems to ensure continuous availability of essential services such as electricity, HVAC, water, and sewage. The role focuses on early detection of issues, reporting faults, and coordinating maintenance activities to prevent service interruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor facility systems (electrical, HVAC, water, sewage) on a daily basis.
• Conduct daily inspections of buildings and service areas.
• Record daily readings for electricity, water, and system status.
• Identify and report abnormal conditions or faults.
• Receive maintenance requests and forward them to the appropriate maintenance team or contractor.
• Follow up on maintenance activities until completion.
• Coordinate with contractors during on‑site maintenance work.
• Verify proper functioning of systems after maintenance.
• Support emergency situations such as power outages, leaks, or system failures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to safety and EHSS requirements.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in facility services or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of facility system operation and maintenance.
• Strong observation and follow‑up abilities.
• Basic communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office – ability to prepare simple reports and maintain records.
