Faculty Member in Medical Surgical Nursing

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified Faculty Member to teach Medical Surgical Nursing. The role combines academic instruction, clinical supervision, and mentorship to prepare nursing students for high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and clinical training in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations in hospitals and healthcare settings.
• Facilitate simulation activities, case‑based learning and clinical skills training.
• Prepare and administer assessments, assignments and clinical evaluations, maintaining accurate academic and clinical records.
• Provide academic advising and support the development of clinical reasoning, patient safety and critical thinking.
• Participate in research, academic conferences, curriculum development and quality‑assurance activities.
• Engage in community health awareness and outreach initiatives aligned with the college mission.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Nursing with a specialization in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Valid professional nursing license/registration.
• Clinical experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Teaching experience in nursing education is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS and other digital teaching platforms.
• Familiarity with simulation‑based teaching and educational technologies.
