Faculty Member in Respiratory Therapy

About the role

Batterjee Medical College seeks a motivated Faculty Member to join its Respiratory Therapy Program. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching, supervise clinical rotations, and contribute to research and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses through lectures, labs, tutorials, simulations and clinical placements.
• Supervise and evaluate students during hospital and healthcare facility rotations.
• Develop course materials, assessments and examinations aligned with program outcomes.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and feedback to support student success.
• Conduct research in respiratory therapy or related fields and publish findings.
• Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation activities and curriculum improvement.
• Engage in community outreach on respiratory health, smoking cessation and disease prevention.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Respiratory Therapy or a closely related discipline.
• Valid professional classification in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, clinical supervision and scholarly activity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard (LMS) and ExamSoft.
• Experience using simulation technology and other digital learning tools.
