Faculty Member – Pediatrics (General Medicine Program)

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is looking for an experienced Faculty Member in Pediatrics to join its General Medicine Program. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality clinical and academic teaching, mentor students, and support research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and bedside teaching in General Pediatrics, Neonatology, Growth & Development, and pediatric disease management.
• Facilitate case‑based discussions, problem‑based learning (PBL), and clinical skills training.
• Prepare and administer assessments using tools such as ExamSoft and maintain accurate academic records.
• Provide academic advising, clinical mentoring, and constructive feedback to students.
• Conduct and publish research in pediatrics, present at conferences, and contribute to the program’s research culture.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA) and participate in curriculum development.
• Engage in departmental committees and collaborate with clinical partners.

Required profile

• MBBS with specialization in Pediatrics (MD, Arab Board or equivalent).
• Relevant teaching experience in a medical college or clinical training environment.
• Active clinical practice in a hospital setting.
• Familiarity with integrated curricula and modern teaching methodologies.
• PhD is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, specifically Blackboard.
• Experience using digital assessment tools such as ExamSoft.
