Field Engineer IV – Managed Pressure Drilling Operations

About the role

Weatherford is looking for a skilled Field Engineer IV to provide technical and engineering support for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on optimizing MPD performance, enhancing drilling efficiency, and ensuring safe execution in collaboration with regional teams, customers, and rig personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic calculations, pressure analysis, and simulations to support MPD operations.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical guidance for safe and efficient delivery of MPD services.
• Prepare and review daily operational reports, hydraulic models, lessons learned, and end‑of‑well reports.
• Support pre‑job planning, risk assessments, technical reviews, and operational readiness evaluations.
• Review drilling programs and recommend MPD‑related procedures and contingency plans.
• Monitor real‑time drilling parameters and MPD system performance to achieve operational objectives.
• Analyze operational data to recommend improvements that reduce non‑productive time.
• Verify MPD equipment functionality and ensure readiness before deployment.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of relevant engineering experience in drilling or MPD.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling, pressure management, and well control principles.
• Ability to work on‑site for extended periods and remain on call 24 hours while on site.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and reports.
