Field Operator – Power Plant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Operator to join our power plant team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of gas turbines, steam turbines, and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) on a 24/7 basis.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, and auxiliary systems following established procedures.
• Perform regular equipment inspections, routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
• Monitor operational parameters via local instruments, control panels, and data acquisition systems, reporting any anomalies to the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor.
• Assist with start‑up and shutdown sequences, execute emergency procedures, and support local isolations and Permit‑to‑Work compliance.
• Collaborate closely with the control room team, participate in shift handovers, and maintain accurate operational logs.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to safety drills and training sessions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is preferred.
• Experience operating gas turbines in a power‑generation environment, preferably Siemens models.
• Understanding of combined‑cycle power generation and related systems.
