Finance Business Partner Manager

About the role

The Finance Business Partner Manager acts as a strategic finance ally to business and operations leaders, delivering insights, performance analysis and commercial guidance. This role ensures financial plans align with business objectives while driving governance, budgetary control and value creation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders on financial planning and analysis to translate strategy into actionable financial plans.
• Develop, monitor and control business unit budgets and forecasts, ensuring targets are realistic and aligned with approved plans.
• Analyze financial and operational performance trends to identify risks, opportunities and areas for cost efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives, investment decisions and operational optimisation.
• Review and validate business cases and proposals for commercial viability and ROI.
• Coordinate monthly performance reviews, track variances and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure financial policies align with business practices to maintain governance and compliance.
• Support cross‑functional projects with financial expertise and prepare clear performance dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, CFA or FP&A are a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supply‑chain finance, preferably within Retail or FMCG.
• Strong analytical mindset with detail‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of ERP and retail management systems, specifically Oracle and SAP.
• Advanced Excel modelling and analysis capabilities.
• Solid understanding of general accounting, finance and reporting principles.
