Finance Manager – Aviation

About the role

The Finance Manager – Aviation will lead financial reporting, planning and analysis for Fly Red Sea’s aviation activities. You will ensure the financial health of the business, drive cost efficiency and support strategic decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, treasury and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and aviation regulations.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor OPEX performance and update rolling forecasts with detailed commentary.
• Produce short‑, medium‑ and long‑term financial projections aligned with business strategy.
• Analyze variances, recommend corrective actions and ensure compliance with tax, audit and civil aviation authority requirements.
• Manage revenue and cost accounting for ticket sales, ground handling, aircraft maintenance, leasing and charter services.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, lessors, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Support strategic initiatives such as fleet expansion, route profitability, pricing strategy and capital investment planning.
• Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and aviation‑specific financial tools for accurate reporting and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance within the aviation or airline industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
