Financial Control & Reporting Expert

About the role

The Financial Control & Reporting Expert will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of ZATCA's financial control and reporting framework. Working autonomously with minimal direction, the role acts as an internal consultant, guiding finance functions to ensure operational efficiency and robust reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor and assess the ZATCA financial control and reporting framework, guidelines, governance and methodology.
• Review finance processes and policies, ensuring consistent implementation across finance functions.
• Conduct periodic financial audits of accounts, statements, reports and budgets to identify discrepancies.
• Develop contingency plans for unexpected drops in funding and provide recommendations to improve account structures.
• Update the chart of accounts in line with new financial policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounting statements, as well as weekly and ad‑hoc reports.
• Produce periodic financial reports covering KPIs, budget tracking, revenue collections and other ad‑hoc analyses.
• Collect and consolidate payables, receivables, cash flow and investments for the yearly financial plan.
• Develop tax, customs and zakat revenue forecasts and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support junior staff, resolve escalated issues and ensure adherence to policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead finance activities with autonomy and minor supervision.
• Experience acting as an internal consultant and facilitator.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Capability to train and guide junior team members.
